Why Bose product activation failed? ›

This message appears if your product is unable to connect to the Internet or to your Bose Music account. Try these suggestions to resolve the issue. If the Bose app is not the latest version, it might be missing features or improvements. On your device, go to the app store, search for the app and select it.

Go to Settings > Privacy > Bluetooth and enable Bluetooth permissions for the Bose app. Go to Settings, then scroll down and select the Bose app. Under Allow Bose Music To Access, enable Bluetooth.

For Android devices, go to Wi-Fi settings and select the Bose wireless network. If your device does not automatically switch to the internal setup network of your Bose product, go to the device Wi-Fi settings and tap the Bose network name to connect to it.

To turn on or off the Auto-wake feature using the Bose App:

in the upper-right corner. in upper-left corner then select the desired product. Under the Power section, select Optical Auto-Wake. Use the toggle to the setting on or off.

If the pairing is not working, it is typically because it is being performed incorrectly, or the product may need to be reset, updated, or may not be compatible with the soundbar. Soundbars will only pair to a bluetooth device that plays audio, like a TV, tablet, or phone.

See Updating the software or firmware of your product. In case an issue occurred with the app, uninstall it from your device, download and reinstall it, then try again. It's possible that interference from other wireless devices are affecting the wireless functionality of your product.
